Hi guys noticed UDID bans seem to be on the rise. Not sure if this is right but I belive the cause of the UDID bans are services that rely on developer/Ad-hoc distribution.
Ad-hoc distribution profiles require developers to collect your UDID / and pre-provision with apple. This distribution method is also limited to 100 devices per apple account (I wonder if the reason UDID bans are occuring is possibly due to signing services rapidly onboarding many people into the 100 device slots setting of a flag and causing bans to the developer acount and temp ban on registerd device UDIDS). The upside with Ad-hoc however is they are much easier to obtain $100 per dev account.
In stark contrast enterprise certificates do not seem to require UDID preprovisioning and accounts work for more than 100 people. Also in the case of the enterprise certificate getting revoked you UDID will not be banned only the cert allowing singing services to rapidly swap in another enterprise certificate. The downsides of enterprise certs are they are a bit more difficutl to obtain (you need a registered buisness with over 100 people to apply for the certificate). Each enterprise account also costs $300 (and combined with how they tend to go bust in a week/month due to multiple signing services using the same enterprise certs) replacing them can be costly.
I guess the only question I have is why signing services that use enterprise certificates don't offer the mobileprovisioning file and cert file to users to sign locally (not sure if this increases ban risk or my go against method for obaing cet). Many sites that use enterprise certs will either have apps presigned for you to download or you will need to use a MDM mobile configuration profile.
Additionally I wonder if you get a udid ban would you be prevented from sideloading from another free/paid apple developer account (example would you be banned from using altstore).
Sites that are using enterprise certificates
Appdb's free teir (without linking apple id developer account)
Signolious (I haven't used them but udid registrations seems to be redirecting to them when udid bans occur indicating posible use of enterprise certs).
Ignition fun
Sites that are using developer certificates/Ad-hoc distribution
UDID registrations
Signum (based on OP's mentioning of UDID bans)
Thanks for reading this juggernaught of a post :)

Edit 1: UDID cert bans/flags/cool downs do not effect your ability to sideload with a enterprise certificate or use your own developer account (free/paid). Aka apps like altstore should still work even when flagged. Credit u/Artwayne01
Edit 2: if you UDID is banned/flagged you won't be able to use another paid apple developer account until the ban/flag cools down. You can however still use free apple dev account (altstore works) and enterprise certs work during the ban cool down window https://i.imgur.com/w10q7pR.png
