Federal Reserve Financial Services (FRFS) operates both the Depository Institution Test (DIT) environment for regular Fedwire Services testing and (DIT2) environment for future deployments or enhancement releases on the same testing schedule (Monday through Friday and select Saturdays). In addition, on select Saturdays, the production environment is available for customer testing. For questions about testing, please contact our Wholesale Testing Services.
The hours of operation for the DIT/DIT2 environments are available below (stated in Eastern Time). The cycle date will match the calendar date.
The DIT/DIT2 environments are not available for customer testing on the first business day and third Wednesday of each month.
Please note that we reserve the right to change any published testing dates to accommodate special circumstances.
Applications are available in the DIT/DIT2 environments on the scheduled Saturdays, as published. These testing dates are subject to change at any time should an internal Federal Reserve Bank need arise. To ensure testing needs are met and proper communication is received regarding changes, a Test Request Form must be filled out five days prior to the scheduled test. If there are no test requests for a given Saturday, the DIT/DIT2 environments will be closed on Friday. The cycle date for Saturday testing will be the continuation of the previous business day.
Disruptive testing is defined as any testing that requires conditions that may interfere with normal processing. Disruptive testing includes stopped transactions, changes to normal cut-off times (third party and settlement).
At the start of each month, NBES holdings reflect the balance on the last business date of the prior month from production. Balances will be rolled forward based on the transaction activity and associated principal and interest (P&I) payments of each test cycle date.
Endpoint Totals, Account Balance Reports and Account Activity Reports are generated and delivered nightly. Securities statements are available upon request.
